"Her love of nature." His smile held the answer. "Thanks, cuz. What would I do without you?"
"Go crazy. I don't know. Don't worry, because you are stuck with me for life."
"Good." They hugged again.
Brett moved closer to the door. Before he opened the screen door, Megan said, "Congratulations Brett."
"Thanks." He dashed inside as if floating on air.
"At least one of us found luck in the love department. Will Clay leave in time for me to reconnect with Colby?" Megan leaned against the post. "The Pow-Wow is next week and then the kids leave. Two weeks later I return to school. Why is the end of summer proving miserable?"
Heading to the cabin, stars came out and lit her path. "Do you hold the answers about Colby?" Visions of Clay clouded her mind with no one else able to break through. "Who will help me change it?"
