Suddenly they heard a voice, as each of them had closed their eyes, but they saw that it was a waiter standing in the doorway, and he said, "sir, your dessert, coffee and tea is on the table in the sitting area as you requested, when you are ready" Starke said, "thank you." and the waiter left. Starke refilled their glasses then and they sat for another twenty minutes or so, then he asks her if she was ready for their dessert? She said, "Yes, and a cup of tea about now sounds wonderful"
Starke again stepped out first, dried himself with one of the generous size towels that were in a basket by the hot tub, then he took her hand as she climbed out and down the steps, he handed her a towel. They put their robes on then and went inside.
He led her over to the couch, and before them was a silver coffee pot and also a silver tea service, he poured tea in one cup and coffee in another and sat beside her, she said, "look at this dessert," it was huge strawberries, dipped in chocolate, laying on a silver tray around what appeared to be a chocolate box, with one strawberry on the lid. Starke took one of the strawberries and lifted it to her beautiful mouth and she took a small bite, and rolled her eyes and said, "Umm!" then he took a bite while she sipped her tea. Starke then said, "I wonder what is in the chocolate box, I bet that is whipped cream? And she reached out carefully lifted the strawberry from it then lifted the lid, and saw that there was another smaller box inside. This one in gold velvet, as she carefully pulled the velvet box out she did not notice that Starke had slipped to the floor and was on his knee, as she flipped open this box, her mouth dropped open as she heard him say, Candee my love, she turned her head, and his next words were will you do me the great honor of becoming my wife?
She said, of course silly, I would have if you had ask me that night in the diner, he got up then and kissed her and said, "you felt it too," she said, "Oh yes, my dear Starke, we both knew this was meant to be, even then." He took the ring then and slipped it on her finger, and she said, "it is so beautiful, what stone is this?" And he said, "It’s a diamond, a honey yellow
