Candee stretched, lazily like a cat and opened one eye as she felt the sun streaming through her blinds, at least the rain was over and it appeared to be a beautiful day. She padded to her tiny kitchen to start coffee while she went in to take a shower, the kitchen was so bright she had to squint her eyes till they adjusted to it.

After her shower, coffee in hand she sat down to read her paper, she had just picked up at her door, when the phone rang, hello, she said, as she picked it up, good morning pretty lady, Starke she thought and smiled, what are you planning for this nice day we're having? Well I'll probably do laundry, why did I say that, she thought, he said "I think I can do better than that can you be ready by eleven o'clock?" She glanced at the clock it was nine thirty, I'll pick you up. Just give me some directions and I'll be there. So she did and they hung up. She gulped her coffee and headed to her room to pick something to wear. Gees, why didn't I think to ask where we are going?

She put a pair of her best jeans on and a soft pink v-neck short sleeve sweater over a soft pink bra and panties, took special care with her hair and make-up and when she looked in the mirror, she actually looked darn good.

He arrived promptly at eleven o'clock and he too was wearing jeans and yet another sharp western shirt, he said, "all set?" She nodded, Jets go then as he led her to his pick-up and opened the door for her. He went around and got in, where are we going she ask? You'll see soon, he said. They drove for a while just listening to the radio, and she could see they were leaving the city, his city limits, and soon the scenery became heavily wooded, and they came to a lake and an entrance to a state park, he pulled into the lot, shut off the engine and got out, came around to her door and opened it for her to get out, she said "are we going fishing?" He laughed and said "not exactly" as he opened the covered back of the truck and took out the biggest picnic basket she had ever seen. He took her hand and said, "this way Candee," she liked the way he said her name. They walked down towards the lake and the docks and there was a very nice boat tied up there, he hopped in, set the basket down, and reached for her hand, and helped her down into the boat.
