Anne hosted a small dinner party on Saturday evening for the bridal party and the judge and his wife, with a short rehearsal prior to dinner. It was a week before the wedding and all that was now calm outdoors in her garden would become a hub of activity days prior to the wedding, so this was a perfect time. It was not a large wedding party, and surely the adults would remember, the details but she was not so sure of the children and so they went through the mock ceremony, with Julie's promise that she would quiz the children often during the coming week.

Dinner was a delight, with the judge regaling them with stories of wedding bloopers at ceremonies he had officiated for in years past; of course he assured them that none of this would occur at their wedding, he was almost sure? And they all laughed. He was a nice man and Candee was pleased that he would be marrying them.

She had some news for all of them, that seemed to please Julie very much and that was, that one of the photographers at the paper she had worked for, who had become a friend was going to take the pictures all day from the moment she was dressed and she said, "he is very, very good, and I'm sure they will turn out wonderful!" Cameron said, "and one of our buddies on the force is great with a video camera and he will be doing a video tape that day also.“ Starke then spoke up, "well I guess if there are any bloopers we'll have them captured as well." and they all laughed again.

The judge and his wife were the first to leave, the women cleared the table, loaded the dishwasher then they all sat as a family and talked of course about the upcoming nuptials.

The three k's were full of questions at least Kyle and Kevin were, Katy mostly babbled, they tried desperately at Candee's urging to find out where she and uncle Starke were going on their honeymoon, it had been kept top secret by the adults from not only the bride to be but, especially from the k's, they knew that no other place on earth would get them as fired up as this destination by now the entire town would know, from their children in school.

Cameron gave them his solemn promise that as soon as the bride and groom were on their way he would tell them the big secret. Candee would just have to wait until she arrived, and she promised the k's that she would phone them as soon as possible, and send lots of postcards.
