"Which one are you in love with?" Rose asked, for the first time in her life being a mother towards him.

"What?" Tebogo asked, completely lost. This was his mother, the woman who heard what she wanted to hear.

"The sisters." Rose said facing forward. 'I know it can't be Sindi, push over girls like her don't intrigue you. It would take a real woman to grab your attention and a woman twice that to steal your heart." Rose told him, shattering his illusions that she didn't know him very well.

"I don't know what you are talking about." He said and started the car.

"Whoever she is I want to meet her. I want to meet the entire family. Joy is my grandson and I have a right to be part of his life." Rose said adamantly. Tebogo looked at her. For a minute there she had seemed human but now she was back and all she cared about was herself.

Mandisa had been sleeping when a hard ear shattering knock woke her up. Grumbling and cursing whoever was at the door she slipped her feet into her slippers and put on a gown.

"Alright, alright, alright. I heard you the first time. There is no need to…" The words died in her mouth as she pulled the door opened and stared at Tebogo.

"You! What are you doing here?"

"I need a drink." Tebogo said walking past her straight to the kitchen. Mandisa's first thought was that she looked awful. Her dreadlocks were all over her face and she was wearing only panties and an oversized tee shirt beneath her gown. The same tee shirt, she had given to him and he had returned. Her clothes were not quite the attire for entertaining. Then again she wasn't entertaining. Tebogo had budged in uninvited just like he had done the last time. Mandisa went to the kitchen ready to tell him where to get off. This time she was prepared to call the police even though he was friends with the captain. What he was doing was harassment and the captain couldn't ignore that.

"What do you think you are doing?" Mandisa demanded. "You can't just budge into my house like that!"

Tebogo stuck his head out of her fridge and looked at her. "Where is the wine?" He asked ignoring her statement.

"I don't have any. The girls were here for Sunday lunch and we drank the last bottle. I was planning to buy some tomorrow." Mandisa heard herself explaining.
