Sandra was woken up by the phone. It was Lynn calling her to see how she was. She had told her she was feeling a little better and asked what the boss said. After her conversation with Lynn she made her way to the kitchen and fixed herself something to eat and pour a coffee she had brewed. Hobbling back to the sofa laying down her coffee she went back for her food. After eating she layed back down wrapped up in her blanket and finally looked at her cell phone.
Wow, she thought. There are 3 voice messages and 4 text. They were all from Dave. He did try to call. The first two voice messages were hang ups and the third was concern regarding her foot.
One of the text messages read..'Sandy, I do hope everything is ok. I am glad that you went to the doctor but I am wondering why you were so upset with me when I showed up. I thought we ended our day on a good note. I did go to the coffee shop on Monday but I didn't see you. While I was there my ex showed up. She wanted to take the kids away for the summer with her. I wasn't too happy about it but she assured me the kids were excited. Told her I would let her know. Anyway, please let me know how you are doing. I am worried about you.' Dave.
