Fighting with herself and her thoughts she finally drifted off waking up with the alarm clock ringing in her ears. It was morning already, wow, she didn’t dream. Or did she dream and yesterdays coffee rendezvous was all a dream. Chalking it all off as a dream she continued on with her morning normal doings.
No coffee!!! She had forgotten to buy her coffee last evening as she was enticed in all her thoughts. Maybe it was fate. Was it meant to happen this way? Was she meant to go back to the coffee shop and somehow meet him there again? These were her thoughts as she pulled into the coffee shop parking lot.
Before entering she looked around the parking lot, she didn’t see his car. She looked through the window, never saw him. Maybe he was in the washroom. Maybe he was here and gone. Thoughts were flying through her pretty head. She felt let down. Getting back in her car which of course started with ease as it did first thing this morning and drove away disappointed.
He was just a drive through town guy. She thought. The rest of the week gloomy as she was, she continued working and thinking but rummaged through successfully. Still disappointment of not seeing him again ran through her thoughts.
