“Oh yeah, that’s when we were gone for the summer at the beach and we rented our house out to someone, leaving the phone number there. What made you try it again?”
“I just thought I would try it again. Glad I did.” Sandra said.
“Well girl, I am so glad you did. It is so nice to hear from you. Where are you? Where are you working? Are you married now?” Renee asked all in one breathe.
“Hey now, slow down. One question a time.” She laughed.
“Ok then, first, are you married?”
“No, and don’t have a boyfriend, yet.” She said smiling to herself, then going on to another answer before Renee asked about the 'yet' answer. “I have a great job in advertising company here in Mt. Rushmore.”
“I know where that is. My ex husband lives there now. Not too far from me actually.”
“Ex husband?” Sandra asked.
“Yes, we got a divorce 2 years ago. We share custody of the kids. We are still friends though.”
“That’s great.” Sandra said
“Hey, what do you mean, no boyfriend yet?” Renee asked remembering what Sandra had previously stated.
Sandra giggled and told her of her day that is planned.
“Wow, I am so happy for you.” Renee said.
