Vampire, I thought sourly. This place seemed to be crawling with them now. I stepped backwards, getting ready to run.

"Please don't go, Mark," the woman said, just as two big guys climbed out of the back seat of the car. I was impressed that they'd both managed to fit in there. I was less impressed with their apparent intentions, which were written all over their faces in six foot high letters. I turned to run, but one of the guys was much faster than his size would suggest, and he grabbed my bag and yanked me backwards in one smooth move. I was lifted off my feet and squeezed into the back seat next to one of them, while the other climbed into the passenger seat next to the woman. He twisted in his seat to watch me with cold snake eyes.

"You don't mind, do you, if we conduct this discussion elsewhere?" the woman spoke in a soft voice. "I'd hate for it to be interrupted by your friend Angus. We've heard so much about him."

"He's going to destroy you," I told her angrily.

"Maybe," she smiled into the rear-view mirror. "But he'll have to find me first."

Angus

I should probably have tried harder, but there was no resisting Rebecca or what she offered that day. Not for me, anyway. The desire that had been simmering in me for weeks erupted in flames too hot to control. They seared my soul.

So I took what she gave. I tasted her and touched her and buried myself deep inside her. And as our bodies moved together in that age old dance, I knew that this woman was mine in every possible way.

Rebecca

Oh wow. I mean, oh wow. There are no words to describe what it was like to finally make love to him. It broke me and healed me at the same time.

Afterwards I expected to feel some sort of regret but it never came. Instead I felt a satisfaction greater than anything I'd ever felt before or since. Nope, definitely no regrets at all.

Eventually we had to return to the real world, and that's when we realised that Mark hadn't come home. I suggested that he may have gone to Harry's for the afternoon, and Angus nodded, but still seemed concerned. So he went to call Mark's mobile while I had a quick shower and dressed in jeans and a hoodie. When I got downstairs, Angus was on the phone. I stood and looked at him for a moment, taking in the planes of his face, those dark eyelashes and eyebrows and firm mouth. He was so beautiful it made my teeth ache.
