He sent his men to Majura to make arrangements for the anointing the Goddess Meenakshi and the clan of the bride started to Majura with the couple.
When the head priest was shown a huge amount, he agreed to do whatever the bride clan wanted him to do.
By six in the evening, after having tiffin items, the marriage party started towards Majura and by seven they worshipped the Goddess and the anointing ceremony. By nine they returned their home to have supper specially prepared for the bridegroom party.
