"David, stop it. There are too many people around."

"Okay, I'll behave." He brought our clasped hands to his lips and kissed my hand. "Do you want any popcorn or something to drink, sweetheart?"

"No," I answered as we sat back and enjoyed the movie.

After the movie, we walked back to where his SUV was parked. As he opened the door for me to get in, we heard someone calling his name. I turned toward the voice and it was a stunning, petite woman with long wavy auburn hair that stopped midway down her back. "David McRay, I thought that was you! It's been too long since I last saw you," she said coming over to him and throwing herself into his arms. Cupping David's face, all the while ignoring me standing there in plain sight, the woman had the nerve to kiss David right on the lips, leaving her ugly lipstick behind. I cleared my throat to get their attention, and he pulled her hands from his face quick and in a hurry.

"Ahh... Alyssa," he said pulling me to his side. This is Rachael Simmons. Rachael this is my girlfriend, Alyssa Darden."

Extending her fire engine red painted nails, she gave my hand a limp handshake, along with a smirky smile. All the while, she kept her gray-eyed stare on David as if she wanted to eat him alive.

"David, I just had to say hello when I spotted you. Now, I have to get back. I'm meeting friends and I'm sure they are waiting for me," she said as she pointed across the street at a group of ladies that I assumed were her friends.

I sneaked a peek at David to see if he was checking Rachael out like she seemed to be doing him. If he was, he wasn't obvious. I still didn't like the big goofy looking smile on his face. Rachael was handing David her business card when I returned my attention to her.

"Call me sometimes and we'll do lunch or something." She seemed to let her or something linger as if to imply that something could be anything he wanted. That said, she twisted her skinny tail across the street, looked back and gave David a cute little wave.

"Who the hell was that?" I asked getting into the vehicle.

Before answering, he closed my door and came around and slid behind the steering wheel.

"Rachael used to work with me at the bank. I hadn't seen her in over a year since she left the bank." Looking into my eyes before he started the car, he said, "Don't tell me you're jealous."
