"Baby, I know you have to be worn out. Why don't you go and soak in the tub and I'll run to your favorite Chinese restaurant and get you some sesame chicken with rice."

"You are so sweet to me. Thank you!"

Pulling my feet from his lap, he stood and pulled me into his arms. He kissed my lips with such tenderness. "I'll be back as quick as I can. Lock up behind me and I'll let myself in if you're still in the tub when I get back."

After David left, I filled the bathtub with warm water and poured in a generous amount of bubble bath. As I was stripping off my clothes, my cell started to ring. Hurrying back into the bedroom, I answered before it went to voicemail.

"Alyssa, this is Drake. I just wanted to check on you to make sure you landed safely."

"Yes, I'm home now. I'm sorry I didn't call like I promised. I'm just so tired and I was about to soak in the tub for a while. May I call you back later? I really want to get my bath before the water turns cold."

"Sure, just make sure you call me back. I miss you already. I'll talk to you later," he said and disconnected the call before I could reply. I slid into the bubble-filled tub, laid my head on my bath pillow and closed my eyes. I must have dozed off, because David entered the bathroom calling my name softly.

"You look so delicious laying in all those bubbles. Do you want me to join you?" he teased.

"No." I laughed. "The water is getting cool though. Let me finish up and I'll be out in a few. Okay?"

"There are plenty of ways we can warm the water back up sweetheart, if you get my drift."

"I know, but I am starving. I will be out shortly. Now go!" I said playfully throwing water into his face.

After sliding into a pair of denim cutoffs and a graphic tee, I entered the kitchen where David had the food on plates. Sitting at the table, I quickly said grace and dug right in. I was ravenous. "David, aren't you going to sit and eat with me?"

"No baby, I wanted to get you settled. I have some paperwork that I need to finish up before I can call it a day. I'll let you rest up some tonight. Let's catch an early movie tomorrow, if you're up to it."

"That sounds great. What time should I expect you?"

"Will around six be okay? We'll grab dinner first, then go to the movies."
