It's possible that he needed some time to loosened up - maybe they were both nervous and needed to loosen up, she decided. “It sounded like you were going to tell me a very interesting story before.” She told him.

“Actually I do,” he replied without hesitation, “everyday is different and I meet a lot of strange people - they remind me of how normal I am,” he told her with a straight face and then chuckled, ”some days I get the crazies and other days I get regular people.”
