“Wow, this is a lot to take in.”

“It is, and I‘m sorry for burdening you with it, but I need some advice on what to do this evening. Should I confront Chief and Mrs. Okrika?”

Ola was silent for some moments and then she said slowly, “I don‘t think that would work very well. If they are behind this as you suspect, they won‘t be anybody‘s fools.”

They were quiet then Ola asked, “Will Edward be there?”

Gladys shook her head in the negative.

“Chief Okrika called you, right?” Gladys nodded. “Are you sure his wife will be there?”

“He said she‘ll be there if I want her to.” She replied.

A smile played on Ola‘s lips, “If your suspicions are anything to go by, then something tells me that Chief Okrika may believe he has a joker up his sleeve.”

“What do you mean by that?” Ola moved closer and whispered into her ear.

“You don‘t think he will do that!” Gladys jumped to her feet.

Ola laughed, “I think I know men more than you do.”

“I thought briefly about it but I said no…”

“Sit down, I‘ll tell you what to do.” Gladys sat and listened.
