Honestly, I didn't listen to the rest, hanging up the phone. I didn't care if he got blue balls. Jamie is smiling at me, eyeballing me for a moment in silence. She is probably debating in her mind whether to push me about my phone call, but she shrugs it off walking away, stopping at the entrance.

"You look happy, it's good to see you happy. He may be a keeper. See you around four."

I laughed "It's much too early to tell. I only just met him." And I haven't made a decision as yet, although I already knew my answer.

4:30 pm

I had never been so thankful to be home after a day at the office, after a day with him. I practically danced through the front door, understanding Jamie's heartfelt "Thank God it's Friday" comment, her boyfriend Trey followed closely behind.

Her high school, college and into the adult world sweetheart. It's still hard to believe that they had held out this long.

We all virtually grew up together. From elementary to middle school, to college, we sat side by side. Even in detention.

"Would you both like a glass of wine?" I asked. "It has been a long day."

Dropping my purse on the lounge, holding on to my laptop. I still had an application form to do over.
