​After the group of eight went to their rooms detective Glaser still had a couple of hours on duty. He slowly walked over to his friend who was one of the hotel's check in clerks. Hey buddy how's things going? That was usually how their talks usually started. The check in clerk said the group paid for their rooms with cash and request no daily maid service and did not want to be disturbed. Their big luggage arrived before they checked in and was delivered to their rooms. The clerk didn't like the way the man who paid acted. He said he had gotten a bad vibe from him.

The houskeeping manager Hazel was asked for extra towels when she was told by the group also told her that they didn't want to be distrubed. She told detective Henry Glaser that she saw the closet door opened through a reflection of the dresser's mirror. there was a rifle of some kind in it. She made sure her crew not to bother them. Most of the staff was on first name basis. She told Henry that she was scared not only for the staff but for the other hotel's guess was staying there. After talking to Hazel Detective Henry Glaser decided to check out those particular guest. He knew it wouldn't be hard to get their pictures.
